No Frakkin’ Way!

Just when I thought this blog was about to die, the most amazing thing happened today…

Today I woke up knowing it was just a regular day at the Movie Theater. And knowing I would oversleep once again barely making it to the bus. I made it to work just in time on a slow day with movies like Fired Up! and Madea Goes to Jail premiering this week, I knew I was going home early today.

Once I started work I heard voices really about how there was a certain person here and my boss told the concession staff about not to talk to this person. I then heard from my co-workers who it was they were talking about. It was no other than Edward James Olmos (aka Admiral Adama) who had visited my theater. This is probably the best way to show how my expression was:

Untitled

No way.

He’s here? Probably the most secluded theater I have known, being mine, and he has visited this one?

I also found out I had to take tickets after cleaning theaters and was told I was definitely going to catch a glimpse of him as I was transferred there.

It was more of a glimpse.

As he walked toward me I had the sudden urge to salute him because of being Admiral Adama. I fought my urge and just stared and didn’t know what to say. Completely scared I continue to take tickets until he approached me and asked when the next International movie was. I bravely told him the time and what time it would be out. He then leered over the schedule in front of me and was literally 5 inches away from me.

Discussing this with my cousin on the phone through texts a half an hour later, I realized I breathed in Olmos’ carbon dioxide. Completely gross yes, but this is Adama we are talking about.

I thought he wasn’t going to watch it at first, but he ran out and got the tickets for the movie. He approached me once more and ripped his tickets with the party he was with. I trembled holding them as if I were ripping the tickets of a god. I ripped them carefully and told him where the theater was.

I should’ve kept the tickets he gave me.

I visioned myself being activated as a Cylon to kill Adama. I fought that urge well.

My mind was completely blown as I saw him buying popcorn and heading to the theater. I sware I thought I saw him talking to girls and telling them he was an actor and took his picture. It sure seemed that way as he talked to random girls as he was walking backwards in front of them.

That kept me going through the day since usually I hate going through work there at all. I was saddened to know that I was being off an hour early than when his movie came out at precisely 4:15pm. I felt like a total stalker from then on since I felt i had to get some sort of proof that he was here. I asked my cousin what should I do? Do I take a picture of him or get an autograph knowing I might risk my job? Or do I lay low and be a coward and just walk home?

I waited for an hour.

I came up with a line to say when I see him (Yes I took the cheesy line). I felt like I was a total stalker until one of my co-workers came and I felt better knowing he actually came all they way from his house to get a picture of him. Also now I have someone to take a picture of me with my phone. I felt I was going to be to scared to say anything and thought I should just leave. Until…

Frak Yes!

You can tell I was scared. It was so worth the hour wait. I got a picture with him while he was on the phone and I shook his hand as well, which I felt bad about. Until a few minutes later he asked me: “Was it a good picture?”

Yes Admiral Adama, yes it was.

Best. Frakkin’ Day. Ever.
